These scholarships and awards are for applicants with an exceptional academic profile, and who demonstrate leadership through community service or excellence in the arts or sport. Students do not need an offer of admission to apply for York entrance awards and scholarships.

Founded in 1959, York University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Toronto (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, York University (YU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. York University (YU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Offered Benefits
Up to twenty (20) of these scholarships are awarded per year, valued at $45,000/year. It is renewable for an additional three years of full-time undergraduate study if the student maintains good academic standing each year, bringing it to a total of $180,000 over four years.

Apply via the online application form. Minimum ‘A’ average or equivalent (York factor 8 or 9) required to be considered. Application form consists of a personal statement from applicant (500 words or less), financial profile, list of activities and volunteer experiences and two letters of reference one of which must be academic.
