York University’s Faculty of Science is pleased to invite the applicants for its prestigious York Science Scholars Award (YSSA) program.

The Science Scholars program is available for international students who want to apply for entrance to the York University Faculty of Science for full-time study starting in fall 2020.

York Science Scholars Award for International Students at the York University, 2020 for Bachelor Founded in 1959, York University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Toronto (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, York University (YU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. York University (YU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: Undergraduate degree opens for Canadian and International students.
Acceptable Course or Subjects: The sponsorship will be awarded to study in any undergraduate degree offered by the University.
Admissible Criteria: Applicants must:

  • All students, Canadian and International, who have applied for entrance to the York University Faculty of Science for full-time study starting in fall 2020, are eligible to apply for this program.
  • Newly enrolled first-year Faculty of Science students are eligible to receive this award.

Application Process

  • How to apply: To participate, the applicants need to take admission to the university. After taking admission applicants need to submit an application form and YSSA Reference Form.
  • Admission Requirements: To apply for the program applicants must have a high academic achievement (minimum 80% admission average or equivalent), passion for science, demonstrated leadership skills, demonstrated involvement in activities beyond academics, community service experiences and a desire to make a difference for their communities.
  • Supporting Documents: To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the Resume, Reference Letters, Personal Statements, Transcripts, etc.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
