To be eligible for this funding position, candidates must have a recent PhD degree in Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Development Studies, or a related discipline with a strong focus on applied research. The candidate needs to have some experience in conducting farm household surveys and in the use of econometrics to analyze such data.The World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg), a renowned non-profit international agricultural research center, is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for the position of Postdoctoral Scientist – Impact Evaluation. WorldVeg is dedicated to conducting research and development programs that harness the potential of vegetables for healthier lives and more resilient livelihoods, particularly in lower-income countries.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject related to Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Development Studies, or a related discipline with a focus on applied research.
  • Admissible Criteria: Candidates must have a recent PhD degree in the specified fields, experience in conducting farm household surveys and utilizing econometrics, proficiency in qualitative research methods, strong communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and willingness to travel extensively.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship program offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The appointment is for three years, starting from November 1, 2023.
