La Trobe University has partnered with the City of Greater Bendigo (COGB) to bring to students a funding opportunity, Women in Master of Internet of Things City of Greater Bendigo Smart City Scholarships for the academic year 2022-2023.

Australian, New Zealand, and citizens of all other international countries interested in pursuing a degree in Master of Internet of Things at La Trobe in Australia are eligible to receive this award. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 for two semesters combined.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Australian and New Zealand citizens and all other international students can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for the Master of Internet of Things programme available at La Trobe.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be Australian citizens or International students.
  • The applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement.
  • The applicants must be commencing the Master of Internet of Things in Semester 1, 2022 at the La Trobe Bendigo campus.

Offered Benefits

The selected students will be given $2,500 after Semester 1 and Semester 2 each, i.e. $5,000 in total towards the cost of the undertaken master programme at La Trobe.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: The students must use the official online portal set up by the university for students. A scholarship application can be made by filling this form.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • academic transcript
  • a 500-word statement that outlines why you have chosen to study the Master of Internet of Things
  • a 500-word statement that describes how you see yourself contributing to the City of Greater Bendigo’s vision for a smart city as a graduate of the Master of Internet of Things
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) with tertiary level subjects in Mathematics, Calculus, or Discrete Math.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5
