The Women for STEM program provides opportunities for female students to fulfill their potential in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-based fields, supported by three key pillars designed to engage and empower during their time at Ontario Tech:
- Career Readiness workshops for students.
- Scholarships for women in STEM fields traditionally underrepresented by women.
- Celebrations that provide industry leaders with opportunities to network and connect with students and each other supporting efforts to increase access and success for female students in STEM disciplines.
Ontario Tech University Information
Established in 2002, Ontario Tech University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Oshawa (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, Ontario Tech University (OUT) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Ontario Tech University (OUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 17 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
Application Process
- Students must have an application for admission to the university for an eligible program to be considered.
- No additional scholarship application is required.
