This Master's Degree is offered jointly with the WIPO Academy, the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), and Africa University (Mutare, Zimbabwe), with financial assistance from the Government of Japan.

Africa University Information
Established in 1992, Africa University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Mutare (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Manicaland. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Harare. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Zimbabwe, Africa University (AU) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Methodist religion. Africa University (AU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. The admission rate range is 30-40% making this Zimbabwean higher education organization a very selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants shall:
- Be nationals of an African country;
- Hold at least a Bachelor (second lower class) degree from a recognized university in any discipline; and
- Be fluent in English.
- A pass in DL 101 (WIPO free course)

Visa costs, if any, are at the expense of participants.
Successful applicants for WIPO scholarships are notified by the WIPO Academy. Thereafter they will be provided with relevant information, including travel arrangements.
