The William Chick Doctoral Scholarship in Architecture was established in 2002 from the William Chick Scholarship Trust to assist students undertaking a course of study for a professional qualification in the practice of Architecture to undertake postgraduate study. William Chick desired to give students an opportunity to broaden their studies in New Zealand and overseas and be able to bring the knowledge and experience into their practice of architecture in New Zealand.
To assist students undertaking a course of study for a professional qualification in the practice of Architecture to undertake postgraduate study at either The University of Auckland School of Architecture or an approved institution overseas.

Eligibility Criteria
The basis of selection shall be academic merit. This will be measured on the quality of the research proposal, a first-class academic record and/or Master's thesis.
