Studying abroad is particularly expensive due to the international fee status of the applicants. To support international students, the University of Reading has come up with Wilkie Calvert Co-Supported PhD Studentships for the academic year 2024-2025.

This scholarship is awarded to UK or Republic of Ireland nationals (International candidates may apply but must cover additional fees). Wilkie Calvert Co-Supported PhD Studentships in UK Founded in 1892, University of Reading is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Reading (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Reading (UoR) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Reading (UoR) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Eligible Countries: UK, Republic of Ireland
Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by the university
Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1) and a master’s degree, or demonstrate relevant professional experience
  • Obtain support from their employer, who must not be an academic organization
  • Provide a research proposal aligned with both personal interest and employer’s strategic objectives
  • Meet English Language requirements if applicable.
