Wendy Newman Library Leadership Award in Canada for Bachelor Established in 1827, University of Toronto is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Toronto (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Domestic students
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by the University of Toronto
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be alumni of the Faculty of Information
  • Demonstrate a commitment to advancing library leadership
  • Exhibit potential for higher levels of library leadership or administration.

Offered Benefits

The Wendy Newman Library Leadership Award provides recipients with financial support to attend intensive library leadership development programs, enabling them to enhance their leadership skills and contribute effectively to the library profession.

Application Process

Interested candidates should submit a complete application package including:

  • Completed application form
  • Written statement (maximum 2 pages) outlining how participation in the program would enhance leadership capacity and benefit career progression
  • Current resume or CV
  • Letter of recommendation from employer, addressing leadership potential and interest in advancing within the library field
  • Proof of acceptance into the leadership program
