Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is pleased to announce two fully funded PhD positions as part of the NanoNU-Marker project: Nano-Chemical Biomarkers for Ageing and Neurodegeneration. This groundbreaking project aims to develop innovative nano-chemical biomarkers to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and nutritional factors associated with cognitive aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
Eligibility for these positions requires applicants to hold an MSc degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry, or Molecular Life Sciences with a focus on Biosciences. - Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Hold a MSc degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry, or Molecular Life Sciences with a focus on Biosciences.
- Have a strong background and hands-on experience in experimental analytical methods, data processing, and statistical analysis.
- Show strong interest or experience in spectroscopy, microscopy, and scanning probe technologies.
- Demonstrate deep interest in applying physical methods to complex bio-samples, such as human biofluids.
- Possess the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, dynamic, and collaborative environment and communicate effectively to both public and scientific audiences.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level) and, if required, an internationally recognized Certificate of Proficiency in the English Language.
