Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is inviting applicants to apply for a PhD Position in Spectral Sensor Development for Additive Manufacturing within the Brussels Photonics Research Group. The successful candidate will work on developing advanced spectroscopic sensing systems for real-time process monitoring in additive manufacturing.
To be eligible for this PhD position, applicants must hold a master’s degree in physics, photonics, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field. They should have a strong interest in photonic systems and light technology, with experience in optical spectroscopy, Raman sensing, or experimental optical setups considered an advantage. Good programming skills, proficiency in English, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
