Students that are seeking financial support to pursue their research study abroad can apply for the Visiting Researcher Scholarships at National Tsing Hua University.

This fellow scholarship is for research students from Taiwan that want to conduct their study in Japan at the National Tsing Hua University. Eligible students will be given a one-year research grant to cover the educational expenses.

Visiting Researcher Scholarships at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan Established in 1911, National Tsing Hua University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Hsinchu (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Hsinchu County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 108 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 40-50% making this Taiwanese higher education organization a averagely selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The applicants can undertake research study in any discipline at NTHU.

The selected research students will be given accommodation expenses and other expenses of living in Taiwan.

  • How to Apply: The students are required to apply through the application system of NTHU. The application form must be filled and submitted to [email protected] to be considered.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to submit a list of all institutions of higher education and professional schools attended.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must be less than 50 years of age to be admitted to a research programme.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit proficiency in English or Japanese languages.
