In partnership with USAID, Project Last Mile is seeking to identify enterprises that demonstrate a proven or promising innovation to address emerging disease prevention and/or control, are poised for growth, and would benefit from Project Last Mile’s technical assistance.
To support USAID Global Health Security (GHS) objectives, this program will aim to identify and strengthen market entry and scale-up of health innovations that can strengthen prevention, detection, and/or response for infectious disease threats around the world.
Solutions should focus on late-stage development of a small form factor biomedical technology and support the following GHS Program objectives:
- Reduced spillover of emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) in humans or animals from
which zoonotic pathogens spillover; - Improved detection and/or identification of potential or real pathogens associated with
EIDs; and/or - Improved understanding of the epidemiology of EIDs among humans, animals, insects,
and/or the environment.
