Uppsala University 2025 Undergraduates & Masters Scholarships for African Students Established in 1477, Uppsala Universitet (Uppsala University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Uppsala (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Uppsala County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Utbildningsdepartementet, Sverige (Ministry of Education and Research, Sweden), Uppsala Universitet (UU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Uppsala Universitet (UU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 542 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Swedish higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

  • Before you can apply for Uppsala University’s scholarships, you must first apply for one of Uppsala University's international Bachelor's or Master's programmes as your first priority at universityadmissions.se.
  • Uppsala University's programme must be ranked as your first priority of choice. Read more about how to rank your selections.
     
  • Do not miss the deadline! If your application on universitydmissions.se is considered late, you will not be eligible for the Uppsala University scholarships. See deadlines.
     
  • Once you have submitted your application at universityadmissions.se, you will get a personal application number consisting of eight digits. Save the number as you will need it when applying for our scholarships.
