UPG Sustainability Leadership has a scholarship programme designed to assist academically distinguished students with limited financial resources.

UPG Sustainability Leadership is a movement that mobilizes individuals and organizations to support positive citizen leadership on sustainability. It is a movement that encourages and enables citizens at all levels to take positive action.

Why should you apply for this programme? UPG believes that sustainability includes both the usual green issues such as planting trees, recycling waste, managing energy, protecting the oceans, and other issues that have been central to our societies for a long time.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from around the world
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Candidates must be 18-35 years of age
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of overcoming major challenges, and able to think outside the box
  • Applicants from all nationalities are eligible to apply
  • Organizations are also invited to nominate people to take part in this training.

Offered Benefits

  • Participants will receive the costs of the program covered – Training material. Accommodation, subsistence, local transportation, international flights (a round trip flight from participant’s city to the USA)
  • Learn world-class content from experts and institutions that are active on the methods and the issues that are relevant to making the world better.
  • 500 participants will be trained and certified as UPG Sustainability Leaders after completion of the course.
  • Create bonds with young leaders from all world regions. These bonds last long after the programme is completed

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Before applying for UPG Sustainability Leadership, they encourage you to register as a UPG Champion.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must have to submit the relevant documents required.
  • Admission Requirements: Candidates must have a previous degree certificate.
  • Language Requirement: Candidates must be able to read, listen and communicate in English, but no language level certificate is needed.
