University of Waikato New International Scholarships, New Zealand for Bachelor Established in 1964, University of Waikato is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Hamilton (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Waikato. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Tauranga. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, New Zealand, University of Waikato (UoW) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Waikato (UoW) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 55 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. Application Process

  • How to Apply: The students must log in to the university portal to submit an admission application. All international students will be considered.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Birth certificate, passport and permits
  • Evidence of citizenship
  • A written statement in support of your application
  • Evidence of any previous tertiary study
  • High school transcripts
  • Admission Requirements: Students need to meet the undergraduate and postgraduate requirements of the university.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit meet the language requirements of the university.
  • IELTS Indicator (this is an online version of the regular IELTS test)
  • TOEFL iBT Home (Plus) (this is an online version of the regular TOEFL test)
  • Duolingo English Test (DET) with the following scores:
  • DET score of 90 for pre-degree programmes (IELTS 5.5 equivalent)
  • DET score of 100 for undergraduate programmes (excluding those listed below)
  • DET score of 110 for postgraduate programmes (excluding doctoral programmes)
