To make education accessible and affordable to its international students, Aalto University has established the International Excellence Scholarship in Finland.

The scholarship is intended to acknowledge the academic prowess of master’s programme applicants who exhibit outstanding performance, with a GPA of at least 4/5 (Finnish system) or its equivalent in international grading. The program’s primary aim is to support these high-achieving individuals by granting them a first-year tuition fee waiver. University of Vaasa International Excellence Scholarship in Finland for Master Established in 1966, Vaasan yliopisto (University of Vaasa) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Vaasa (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ostrobothnia. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö, Suomi (Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland), Vaasan yliopisto (UVA) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Vaasan yliopisto (UVA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 53 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • GPA of at least 4/5 (Finnish system) or equivalent in their respective international grading
  • Not successful for the Finland scholarship.

Offered Benefits

  • EUR 3,000 tuition fee waiver for Master’s programmes in Finance, International Business, and Strategic Business Development.
  • EUR 1,000 tuition fee waiver for Master’s programmes in Industrial Management, Industrial Systems Analytics, Smart Grids, Strategic Project Management, Sustainable and Autonomous Systems.
