The C.D. Howe Memorial Foundation was founded in 1962 to provide a fitting and lasting memorial to the Rt. Hon. C.D. Howe and funded an engineering scholarship in his name for many years. In 2013, the Foundation established the C.D. Howe Endowment Fund at the Association of Universities Canada to fund the National Engineering Scholarship Program in perpetuity. The C.D. Howe Endowment Fund supports scholarships to students enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program in a Canadian university

University of Toronto C.D. Howe Endowment Fund National Engineering Scholarship 2025 for Bachelor Established in 1827, University of Toronto is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Toronto (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, University of Toronto (UofT) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Toronto (UofT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Have completed the first year of a Bachelor of Engineering program at a Canadian institution;
  • Are entering the second year of the program orthe fourth study term if enrolled in a co-op program, starting in September 2025;
  • Have been nominated by an eligible institution;
  • Have attained a first class standing as defined by your nominating institution.

Offered Benefits

Two scholarships, each valued at CAD $7,500 per year, will be available to eligible students pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering program. These scholarships are renewable for up to three years or until the completion of your first degree.
