University of the People is dedicated to opening access to higher education around the world for all qualified individuals otherwise constrained access. UoPeople has succeeded in cutting down almost the entire cost of higher education. All we ask our students to cover is an Application Processing Fee, as well as the cost of the Exam.
UoPeople is able to offer our students an online degree tuition-free because of our unique model of online higher education. Our minimal processing fees help to maintain our tuition-free online degree structure—allowing all qualified students to receive their online degree without educational instruction expenses, course material or annual enrollment fees.
Eligibility Criteria
For students unable to pay the Exam Processing Fees.
To meet admission requirements, applicants must:
- Be 18 years old or older.
- Be able to demonstrate high school completion.
- Have English proficiency.
Offered Benefits
Processing Fees - Undergraduate Degrees We ask for a non-refundable application fee of $60 and examination processing fee of $100 per exam [not in one full payment but at the time of each exam] which can be covered by numerous grants and scholarships. Processing Fees - Graduate Degrees Application Processing Fee - $60 The Application Processing Fee is non-refundable and must be submitted by the applicant along with the application for admission. The Application Processing Fee does not include any additional fees that may be required for third-party evaluation. Examination Processing Fee - $200 Students are required to pay an Examination Processing Fee of $200 for every end-of-course examination that they take. Grants & Scholarships UoPeople works with top corporations and organizations to provide grants and scholarships to students needing financial support when paying the required processing fees. Students can apply each term for the scholarship that best fits; UoPeople wants to assure finances do not restrict students from studying.
