The University of Sydney is offering the Faculty of Engineering Research Scholarship for Europe to support outstanding PhD students from European countries. This prestigious scholarship provides a living stipend, full tuition fees, and student services fees for up to 3.5 years, helping talented researchers pursue advanced studies within the Faculty of Engineering.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be citizens of a European country, hold a first-class honours degree or equivalent, and have an unconditional offer to study a full-time PhD within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney.

University of Sydney Faculty of Engineering Research Scholarships in Australia for PhD Established in 1850, The University of Sydney is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Sydney (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), New South Wales. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens of European countries

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is awarded for PhD research in any subject offered by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
    • Be a citizen of a European country
    • Have an unconditional offer of admission to study full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney
    • Hold a first-class honours degree or equivalent
    • Withdraw applications for the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships, including any RTP Stipend or RTP Tuition Fee Offset (international students only).

Offered Benefits

  • A stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney’s Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate per annum (indexed annually) for up to 3.5 years (no extension possible)

  • Full coverage of academic course fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) for up to fourteen research periods (no extension possible)
