The funding opportunity is offered to a highly qualified international student who has applied for a PhD degree program at the University of Sussex.General research is conducted at the University of Sussex, which is located in England. University of Sussex Fully funded PhD Scholarship in Communication Engineering, UK Established in 1961, University of Sussex is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Brighton (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Sussex is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Sussex offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: UK, EU and overseas applicants
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship in Tax and Development will be awarded for PhD
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Eligible applicants will have at least a 2:1 undergraduate honours degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Offered Benefits

The successful candidates will received a tax-free stipend of £18,622 and full fees (at the UK or overseas rate) for 3.5 years. In addition, to a one-off Research and Training Grant of £2,000.

  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit the following documents when they apply:
  • Research proposal/research statement
  • Summary of academic interests (this is optional depending on the subject area applicants are applying for)
  • Degree certificates and transcripts. If the originals are not in English, certified translations must be provided
  • English language qualification, where applicable
  • CV
  • Two academic references – including one from the most recent university.
  • Evidence of substantial professional work experience in development-related work
  • Admission Requirements: International applicants must meet the  entry requirements to study PhD.
  • Language Requirement: International students must meet the  English language requirements or complete the  Pre-sessional English course.
