The University of Sussex is inviting applications for Einhorn Oestreicher Masters Scholarship. All UK, EU and international candidates are eligible to apply.

This scholarship aims to assist high achieving and highly motivated international scholars at the University of Sussex.

The University of Sussex is a leading higher education and research institution near Brighton, in the south of England. Sussex was the first of the new wave of UK universities founded in the 1960s. Its goal is to deliver teaching and learning programmes that are informed by current research, are attractive to students from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and which deliver skills for life.

Candidates must have achieved, or be expected to achieve, a first or upper second class honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent from an overseas institution, and/or have equivalent relevant professional experience.

University of Sussex Einhorn Oestreicher Masters Scholarship Established in 1961, University of Sussex is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Brighton (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Sussex is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Sussex offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • All UK, EU and international candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have accepted a full-time offer of a place on the MA in Gender, Violence and Conflict commencing in September 2017.
  • Candidates must have achieved, or be expected to achieve, a first or upper second class honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent from an overseas institution, and/or have equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Candidates must meet all the University’s general entrance requirements.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship will be paid in one instalment of £10,000 in October 2017. In the first instance the scholarship will be a fee waiver, with any remaining funds paid as a maintenance payment.

Application Process

There is a two stage process to apply for the scholarship:

Stage one: Candidates may only apply for the scholarship once they have accepted a place on the MA in Gender, Violence and Conflict. Candidates should therefore apply for a place on the MA at least two weeks before the scholarship deadline of 31 May in order to allow sufficient time for the MA application to be processed.

Stage two: Once a place has been accepted on the MA in Gender, Violence and Conflict candidates should complete and return the attached scholarship application form by 31 May.
