This prestigious award recognises academic excellence and is awarded to selected students starting a masters degree at the University of Surrey in September 2022 and February 2023.

University of Surrey Vice-Chancellors Excellence Scholarship for Postgraduate Students for Master Founded in 1966, University of Surrey is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Guildford (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Surrey is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Surrey offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • This scholarship is open to self-funded international fee-paying students regardless of nationality or domicile.
  • It is applicable for all taught masters programmes in the subject areas listed below:
    • Chemical and process engineering
    • Civil and environmental engineering
    • Criminology
    • Economics
    • Electrical and electronic engineering
    • Environment and sustainability
    • Food, nutrition and dietetics
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Politics and international relations
    • Psychology
    • Sociology

Offered Benefits

  • The scholarship is awarded as either a £5,000 or £10,000 fee waiver. The scheme is application based and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel.

This scholarship is application-based. Surrey offer-holders may apply via the   online form.
