The University of Sunderland is proud to offer the Sir Bob Murray Health Scholarship for the 2025/26 academic year. This scholarship supports five first-year undergraduate students enrolled in eligible psychology programs, with a one-time award of £1,000. Funded through a philanthropic donation, the scholarship aims to assist students from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education.
To be eligible, applicants must be classified as ‘Home’ students starting their first year of an eligible full-time undergraduate psychology course. They must also meet at least one widening participation criterion, such as having a household income of £47,500 or less, being the first in their family to attend university, or living in a low-participation neighbourhood (POLAR4 Quantiles 1 or 2).
