The intent of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Saskatchewan Scholarship is to encourage Levene Graduate School of Business Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) graduates to continue a career in human resources. The annual scholarship will recognize and reward the academic achievement and extra-curricular activities toward career development of students registered in the MHRM degree. The Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Saskatchewan promotes and encourages leadership and expertise with human resource practitioners in all functional areas of human resource management through provincial networks and developmental opportunities while supporting professional standards to influence organizational excellence.

University of Regina Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Saskatchewan Graduate Scholarship 2025 for Master Established in 1911, University of Regina is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Regina (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Saskatchewan. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Saskatchewan, University of Regina (U of R) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Regina (U of R) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 108 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this Canadian higher education organization a least selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship will be presented to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:

  • Pursuing a MHRM degree in the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business;
  • Completed a minimum of 12 credit hours;
  • Achieved a minimum grade point average of 80% in the 12 credits completed in the program;
  • Is registered and remains registered in the semester the scholarship is presented;
  • Demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities and volunteerism;Involvement can include activities associated with human resource management related groups;
  • A written statement demonstrating interest in pursuing the CPHR designation. The statement should be approximately 250 500 words; and
  • Preference will be given to students who are active members of CPHR Saskatchewan at the time of application.

Offered Benefits

$1,000 will be awarded to the recipient of the award

Note: In addition to the award value, the student recipient will receive a one (1) year complimentary student membership with CPHR Saskatchewan. The recipient is responsible for initiating contact with CPHR Saskatchewan for the purpose of completing the complimentary membership process.
