The University of Queensland is offering qualified international students the Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship.

The Liveris Academy Scholarship scholarship was established in 2019 by Andrew and Paula Liveris and is maintained by the income generated from an endowed fund.

The Liveris Academy is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders with the capacity to address grand challenges at a time of dramatic socio-economic, technological and environmental change.

University of Queensland 2024 Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship for Bachelor Founded in 1909, The University of Queensland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized town of St Lucia (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Queensland. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Herston, Gatton. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, The University of Queensland (UQ) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Queensland (UQ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 109 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Will complete, or have completed, year 12 in the two year period prior to the year of the award (2022, 2023)
  • Have completed no more than one semester towards the following programs in the year of award:
    • Bachelor of Computer Science
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
    • an engineering integrated program
    • Bachelor of Science
    • Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours)
    • Bachelor of Information Technology
    • Bachelor of Mathematics
    • a dual program including one of these programs; or
  • Have not undertaken any tertiary study at Bachelor level or high prior to enrolling in the approved program (special studies not included)
  • Do not hold another scholarship that the Director considers to be similar.

Offered Benefits

$10,000 per annum. You may also receive up to $10,000 for travel support for approved Gap Semester, exchange or internship opportunities.

Application Process

You're required to prepare a short video that's no longer than 1 minute, and to respond to a few short answer questions to demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria for this scholarship. 

  • We’ll acknowledge your application by email. If you have not received an email within 2 days of applying, email 
  • If you’re considered eligible, we’ll forward your application to a selection panel to review.
  • If you’re selected, we will notify you in writing to organise an interview.
