UQ Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is part of the UQ Academic Scholarship program. The scholarship was established in 2009 and is maintained by funds from The University of Queensland and donors.

This scholarship is strictly for undergraduate students from Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.

University of Queensland 2023 Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students for Bachelor Founded in 1909, The University of Queensland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized town of St Lucia (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Queensland. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Herston, Gatton. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, The University of Queensland (UQ) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Queensland (UQ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 109 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

You're eligible if you:

  • achieved a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent)
  • completed Year 12 in 2023 or 2022 (if you’re on a gap year).

And either of the below:

  • Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder; or
  • Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.

And you:

  • Have not completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program)
  • Have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your 1st QTAC preference as at 19 December
  • Are intending to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2024 (or 2025 if deferring your tertiary place).

Offered Benefits

The University of Queensland Academic Scholarship program offers up to $12,000 to put towards your studies. This opportunity is available for international students who will be enrolling for undergraduate degree program.

Apply via the UQ application portal. You can save your application and come back to it at any time.

You'll need:

  • your QTAC reference number
  • a list of 3 of your most outstanding achievements from Years 11 and 12 (academic, leadership and community service).

You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ Academic Scholarships Program.
