University of Ottawa National Endowment Fund 2025 Founded in 1848, University of Ottawa is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Ottawa (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, University of Ottawa (uOttawa) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Ottawa (uOttawa) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 171 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have protected/refugee status

  • Must be a victim, spouse, or child of a victim of the tainted blood tragedy in Canada (1980–1989)

  • Must be enrolled full-time or part-time in a recognized Canadian postsecondary institution

  • Must be in good academic standing

  • Must demonstrate financial need

  • Prepare Supporting Documents:

    • Collect all required documents that prove eligibility (e.g., proof of status as a victim or relative of a victim, proof of enrollment, academic standing, and financial need).

  • Submit the Application:

    • In person: Submit to the Financial Aid and Awards Service

    • By email: Send the completed application and all documents to

  • Deadline:

    • Submit your application by September 30.
