The University of Ottawa is now launching the Dean’s Excellence Award that will help students start their higher education in Canada.

This funding scheme is valued at  $4,000 and will be available to all international students who are taking admission in an undergraduate degree programme at the university.

University of Ottawa Faculty of Social Sciences Dean’s Excellence International Award in Canada for Bachelor Founded in 1848, University of Ottawa is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Ottawa (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, University of Ottawa (uOttawa) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Ottawa (uOttawa) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 171 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree programme in social sciences
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:

  • Must have applied for an undergraduate degree programme at the university.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Applicants who have secured a place in an undergraduate degree programme can apply for this application .
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates are required to submit the following documents: Pre-qualification degree, copies of academic transcripts, certificates of English language proficiency, a statement, and a copy of passport.
  • Admission Requirements: Candidates must have a high school diploma to be eligible to enrol in an undergraduate degree programme.
  • Language Requirement: The university accepts the following tests for bachelor degree programme:
  • Duolingo English Test (DET) with the following scores
  • IELTS Indicator test
  • TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English
  • CIE
  • GCE A or AS English Language, Literature in English, Language and Literature in English
  • GCE AS level General Paper
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic

Benefits: The grant is worth $1,500. This award will help to all eligible students with educational expenses.
