University of Nottingham Masters Scholarship 2026


The University of Nottingham is offering scholarships covering 50% or 100% of full-time masters tuition fees. These one-year scholarships are available to support innovative and passionate students who can successfully demonstrate their ingenuity for developing solutions that will impact their home countries and incite change.

University of Nottingham Masters Scholarship 2026 Established in 1948, The University of Nottingham is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Nottingham (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), East Midlands. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Derby, Sutton Bonington, Lincoln, Semenyih. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Nottingham is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Nottingham offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 71 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be domiciled in Africa, India or one of the selected Commonwealth countries listed below
  • be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
  • hold an offer to start a full-time masters (including MRes) for 2026/27 at the University of Nottingham UK, studying in the  Faculty of Engineering,  Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences,  Faculty of Science or  Faculty of Social Sciences

You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:

  • are a current student or graduate of the University of Nottingham
  • have studied and been awarded an undergraduate or postgraduate degree outside of your home country*
  • are currently studying in the UK

Offered Benefits

  • You do not need to respond to your offer before submitting your application for this scholarship, however awards will only be made to students who accept their offer to study with us.
  • We will assess all scholarship applications before making any awards. You may be offered a scholarship of either 50% or 100% of tuition fees. We will contact you by the end of May 2026 to confirm the outcome of your application.
  • If you are awarded this scholarship, it will be deducted from the tuition fees charged to you as a student at the University of Nottingham. We will not pay tuition fee scholarships to you directly.
  • To maximise the reach of the university's scholarships offering, our international scholarships cannot be combined with other University scholarships.  Where you are awarded multiple scholarships, the single highest-value award will be applied.

Application Process

Required Documents:

  • You must apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time masters (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham for 2026/27 before applying for this scholarship.  Search for courses and find out  how to apply.
  • The University requires an application fee for our postgraduate taught course applications. Please be aware that your academic application will not be assessed until the application fee has been paid and processed.
  • When you have received your offer to study, you can apply through the scholarships section of the application system,  NottinghamHub.
  • If you have an offer for an MRes course, email the scholarships team on   for instructions on how to apply.
  • If you have applied for a full-time two-year master’s course, you can apply for this scholarship. However, the scholarship is awarded for one year only. If successful, the scholarship would only be applied to the first year’s tuition fees. You would need to ensure that you have the means to cover any balance in tuition fees.
