The University of Newcastle is encouraging highly motivated and excellent students to apply for the International Excellence Scholarships in Australia. The grant is open for the academic session 2021/2022.

The purpose of this programme is to help and support Indian students who want to commence undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme at the University of Newcastle.

University of Newcastle International Excellence Scholarships for Indian Students, Australia Founded in 1965, The University of Newcastle is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Callaghan (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Ourimbah, Port Macquarie, Singapore, Sydney. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, The University of Newcastle (UoN) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Newcastle (UoN) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from India.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme in Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Education and Arts, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Faculty of Health and Medicine and Faculty of Science.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Must be the holder of an Indian passport.
  • Must be an international full-fee paying student.
  • Must be enrolled full-time and must not hold another funding for the same program of study.

Offered Benefits

The University of Newcastle will provide award range from AUD$5,000 – AUD$15,000 depending on your minimum ATAR equivalent assessed at admission.

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the opportunity, candidates must take admission at the university. No application is required for this application .
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must have to submit identity documents, provide citizenship and visa details, certified copies of official transcripts.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, students must have to check the entry requirements of their chosen program.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language or mother tongue, you should provide evidence of your English language proficiency through one of the entry requirements or language tests.
