University of Montreal Postsecondary Scholarship Competition in French as a Second Language for Bachelor

This scholarship program, funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage and administered by the Association of Canadian Francophone Colleges and Universities (ACUFC), encourages English-speaking Canadian students to pursue postsecondary education in French to promote bilingualism and enrich cultural and academic experiences.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

  • Have English as their first official language spoken

  • Have completed high school in an English-language or non-official language institution

  • Be enrolled full-time in Fall 2025 in a postsecondary program lasting at least two years

  • Take at least 50% of their courses/internships/activities in French

Offered Benefits

35 scholarships valued at $3,000 CAD each

Required Documents:

  • Completed online competition form (available from April 14, 2025, 9:00 a.m.)

  • Proof of eligibility (citizenship, academic enrollment, language of instruction, etc.)
