The University of Melbourne is now accepting applications for the Architectus Scholarship programme for the 2025-2026 academic session.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals recognized by their community. University of Melbourne Architectus Scholarship in Australia for Course Established in 1853, The University of Melbourne is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Melbourne (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Victoria. Eligibility Criteria

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for graduate coursework in Architecture, Building, and Planning.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as such, and be recognized by their community.
    • Have applied for a master’s degree by coursework in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning under the Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) Indigenous Australian category.
    • Meet GAM entry requirements for a master’s degree by coursework in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.

Offered Benefits

  • Living Allowance: $10,000 per year.
  • Duration:
    • Up to 2 years for the 200-point Master’s program.
    • Up to 3 years for the 300-point Master’s program.
  • Payment: The allowance is disbursed in two instalments of $5,000 in April and September each year.

Application Process

No separate application is required for this scholarship. Eligible applicants will be automatically considered upon applying for admission to a relevant program commencing in the award year.
