The University of Manchester is proud to offer awards totalling £300,000 to international students, commencing their studies in September 2023. The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and master’s students.
Founded in 1824, The University of Manchester is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Manchester (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), North West England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Manchester is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Manchester offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 195 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
Applications will be considered from international fee-paying students domiciled in the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Applicants must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2023 and have, or be working towards one of the following qualifications:
Applicants for the African awards must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time programme at Manchester and must submit an online scholarship application form by 19 May 2023.
Awards will be made following the confirmation of examination results between June and August 2023 depending on the qualification taken.

The Global Futures Scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence and your responses to questions in the online application form which will be emailed to all eligible offer holders.
The seven partial awards will be open to applicants domiciled in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Each award comprises £5,000 for the first year of study with a further £5,000 awarded in the second and third years of study, conditional on attainment of 60% average in each year.
Scholarships will be awarded in the form of an appropriate discount against published overseas tuition fees.
