With this scholarship program, Université Laval supports talented students who have accomplished outstanding things in one of the six following fields: social and humanitarian work, entrepreneurship, the arts, the environment, sports, or science. This scholarship program is available for students planning to apply for the winter 2017, summer 2017 or fall 2017 session of a regular Université Laval program.

****Faculty of Science and Engineering: Fondation Famille Choquette
Fondation Famille Choquette encourages talent and helps shape tomorrow’s leaders by providing financial assistance to Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) students throughout their studies. The Fondation also encourages students to broaden their horizons by completing an internship or a semester abroad as part of their undergraduate or master’s level studies in the FSE.
Candidates who have submitted applications for the Leadership and Sustainable Development Scholarship Program and who have applied for admission to an undergraduate or master’s level program in the Faculty of Science and Engineering will receive an email invitation to learn more about international mobility scholarships offered by Fondation Famille Choquette.
Faculty of Medicine: Donation from Esther Gilbert
The sponsor of this special program for Faculty of Medicine students wishes to award scholarships that showcase the innovation and excellence of candidates who demonstrate leadership through research or health science projects.
Candidates of all levels who are enrolled in any Faculty of Medicine program and wish to apply as part of the Leadership and Sustainable Development Scholarships Program must complete the form listed on the fact sheet.

Eligibility conditions
Before filling out the application form, make sure you meet the following eligibility conditions:
You have submitted a new application for admission to the summer 2017, or fall 2017 sessions no later than March 1st or have submitted an application for admission to the winter 2017 in a program of studies leading to a Université Laval undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree You show exceptional and sustained involvement in social or humanitarian, entrepreneurship, artistic, environmental, athletic, or scientific activities (contributing to research excellence whatever the field) in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, or another country You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or foreign student Maintain a full-time status at Université Laval from the admission semester
Note that when scholarships are awarded, the applicant must have received a conditional or final offer of admission to Université Laval. Candidates who are on the waiting list will not be considered eligible.
You must decide what type of leadership best characterizes you and may apply only once. If you apply under more than one leadership type, your application will be automatically rejected.
Offered Benefits
The value of the scholarships is as follows:
Undergraduate: $2,000 per year (up to 3 or 4 years, depending on program length) Master’s: $5,000 per year (up to 2 years) Doctoral: $10,000 per year (up to 3 years)
Scholarships are renewable annually for the official duration of the study program, contingent on proof of continuing leadership and ongoing full-time study in the program for which the scholarship was granted. These awards can be combined with all other scholarship programs.
Leadership and Sustainable Development scholarships are not applied to tuition fees. Students receiving scholarships must pay their tuition fees by the date indicated in the university calendar.
