The University of Laval, in collaboration with the Bank of Canada, is pleased to announce the General Exchanges 2025 program. This initiative aims to foster academic and professional development through knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and financial support opportunities for students and scholars. Through this partnership, selected participants will benefit from valuable insights into economic policy, finance, and related disciplines, while also gaining access to exclusive scholarships and networking platforms.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for one of these scholarships, you must:
- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
- be enrolled full-time or part-time in a post-secondary study program at the university ( undergraduate ) or college level in a field related to the Bank's activities, including the following:
- economics and finance : economics; computer science; mathematics or statistics; commerce or business administration with specialization in finance;
- administration and operations : financial services, administration and business administration, project management, human resources, accounting, communications and web development, internal audit, currency production, knowledge and information management, security;
- information technology and cybersecurity : software development, network engineering, solutions architecture, project management, operations analysis, cybersecurity;
- have a general average of at least 70%
- be enrolled in a post-secondary institution for fall 2025.
Offered Benefits
These $8,000 CAD scholarships are offered to support people with disabilities, Indigenous people, LGBTQ2S+ people, Francophones and those who identify as members of a visible minority or racialized group and thus help eliminate barriers to the pursuit of their studies and promote greater diversity in our workforce.
In addition to the scholarship, recipients may be offered a job opportunity at the Bank and the opportunity to be mentored by an employee of the institution.
