University of Groningen Eric Bleumink Fund Masters Scholarship Founded in 1614, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (University of Groningen) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Groningen (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap, Nederland (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Netherlands), Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 405 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Eric Bleumink Fund Masters Scholarship 2022/23, applicants are to meet the following criteria:

  • Must have received provisional or unconditional admission for a master programme at the University of Groningen.
  • Possess excellent academic performance, preferably to be confirmed by letters of recommendation.
  • Have excellent grades during their bachelor/undergraduate studies.
  • Have excellent English language proficiency, in accordance with the admission requirements of the program and be able to take part in the entire programme.
  • Be in good health.
  • Have on other means of financing the study in question.

Application Process

Interested applicants for the Eric Bleumink Fund Masters Scholarship are to note that the University of Groningen Admission Office, in consultation with the Admission Boards of its faculties, will determine which applicants will be nominated for an Eric Bleumink Fund Scholarship.

Applicants are to apply first for admission into a master’s degree programme of the University of Groningen to be considered for the scholarship.
