University of Graz International Merit Scholarships in Austria Founded in 1585, Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (University of Graz) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Graz (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Styria. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft and Forschung, Österreich (Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Austria), Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (KFUG) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (KFUG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.   • Evidence of any delays in studies as defined in §§ 18 and 19 StudFG
  • Submit the documents in one PDF file electronically. Incomplete applications or applications with missing/deficient documentation will not be considered.
  • Selection Process: If the number of eligible applications exceeds the scholarships available, ranking will be based on grade point average and, if necessary, ECTS credit points or completed semester hours.
  • Notification: Applicants will be informed of the decision in writing. There is no legal entitlement to the award.
  • Benefits
  • Scholarships range from EUR 750 to EUR 3,600, awarded under private sector administration by the Dean of Students, independent of the social need of the applicant.
