Scholarships help to lessen the impact of rising tuition costs. Therefore, the University of Gothenburg is now announcing the Adlerbert Scholarships for the academic session 2025/2026.

To be eligible for the Scholarships at the University of Gothenburg, applicants must have completed at least 30 credits at the university and be registered for at least 30 credits during the scholarship year (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) at the first or second cycle level.

University of Gothenburg Adlerbert Scholarships in Sweden for Bachelor Established in 1891, Göteborgs universitet (The University of Gothenburg) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Göteborg (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Vastra Gotaland County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Utbildningsdepartementet, Sverige (Ministry of Education and Research, Sweden), Göteborgs universitet (GU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Göteborgs universitet (GU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 128 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Students of all nationalities are eligible.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is available for any subject offered at the University of Gothenburg.

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Must have completed at least 30 credits at the University of Gothenburg.

    • Must be registered for at least 30 credits during the scholarship year (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026).

    • Students may receive a maximum of two scholarships during their undergraduate and graduate studies.

    • Applications for study-related travel abroad are prioritized over living expense applications.

Offered Benefits

  • A scholarship amount of SEK 15,000 will be awarded.

  • Support for study-related international travel with priority given to trips abroad.

  • Contribution towards living expenses for students who are not applying for travel funding.
