University of Exeter 2023 Chevening Scholarships for International Students for Master


The Chevening Programme, which is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations, was established in 1983 and has developed into a prestigious international scheme. Chevening Scholars come from more than 160 countries and territories worldwide. There are over 50,000 Chevening alumni around the world who comprise an influential and highly regarded global network. Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree, in any subject and at any of the UK’s leading universities.

University of Exeter 2023 Chevening Scholarships for International Students for Master Established in 1955, University of Exeter is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Exeter (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South West England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Exeter is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Exeter offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 64 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of work experience, including voluntary experience.
  • Applicants must have leadership qualities and a passion for influencing positive change in their home country.
  • Applicant should be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
  • Applicants must return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their award has ended.
  • Applicants must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable entry into a master‡s programme at a UK university by the time they apply. This is commonly equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree course in the UK but may differ depending on their course and university choice.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of work experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours).
