The University of Essex is offering Psychology Doctoral Scholarships for 2017-2018 entry. Home/EU students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

The University of Essex is a British public research university in Colchester, Essex. It was established in 1963 and received its Royal Charter in 1965.

The award is available to full-time students and also to part-time and modular students on a pro rata basis.

University of Essex Psychology Doctoral Scholarships for Home/EU Students in UK, 2017-2018 for Phd Founded in 1964, University of Essex is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Colchester (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), East of England. Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

You can apply for this scholarship if you have been offered a place at Essex for a full-time PhD, starting in 2017-18.

MPhil and Masters by Dissertation courses are not eligible.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship includes:

  • A fee waiver equal to the Home/EU fee (international students will need to pay the balance of their fees)
  • A stipend of £12,000 per year
  • A training bursary of £480 per year
  • Proficiofunding, which can be used to ‘buy’ advanced skills training

Application Process

If you’ve applied for a full-time SeNSS studentship starting in 2017-18, you’ll automatically be considered for our Essex Psychology Doctoral Scholarship and don’t need to complete a separate application form. However, you’re advised to read the terms and conditions of these awards and which departments are offering them.

University of Essex Doctoral scholarships don’t cover SeNSS 1+3 applications, but you’ll be considered for an Integrated PhD course if there is one appropriate for your studies. All successful Integrated PhD applicants would have to fund their first year.
