University of Edinburgh School of History, Classics and Archaeology Masters Scholarships


The University of Edinburgh offers two studentships within the School of History, Classics and Archaeology. These awards are open to outstanding UK/EU and Overseas students beginning their master studies in the 2017-18 academic year (commencing September 2017).

The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1582, is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities.

Candidates must have the minimum equivalent of a 2:1 degree at undergraduate level. A good result in a consequent and relevant master degree will also be expected.

University of Edinburgh School of History, Classics and Archaeology Masters Scholarships Established in 1583, The University of Edinburgh is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Edinburgh (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Scotland. Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship.

Applicants must have applied for a Masters programme of study within the School of History, Classics and Archaeology by 15th March 2017.

Offered Benefits

The Master studentships will provide a stipend of £7,000 per annum, payable in monthly instalments. Awardees are responsible for paying their tuition fees, which are not covered as part of this award, to the University.

Number of Scholarships: The School will award two Edinburgh Scholarships, one Gray Scholarship and two Masters Awards.
