University of Edinburgh 2023 GREAT Scholarships for Nigerian Students for Master


This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Edinburgh will be offering five scholarships for students, across China, India, Nigeria, Turkey and Vietnam applying for an eligible one-year postgraduate Masters programme for the 2023-2024 academic session.

GREAT Scholarships, launched by the British Council’s Study UK campaign together with a number of other UK universities, supports students from 18 countries to access world-class UK higher education opportunities. The Study UK campaign is offering 150 scholarships from UK universities to students across 18 countries around the world.

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 41 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

University of Edinburgh 2023 GREAT Scholarships for Nigerian Students for Master Established in 1583, The University of Edinburgh is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Edinburgh (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Scotland. Eligibility Criteria

  • At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of China, India, Nigeria,Turkey and Vietnam who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study.
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

Offered Benefits

  • Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.

Application Process

  • In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.
  • The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd our web based information portal at  https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
