The Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen is offering three PhD Positions in AI in Medicine. In collaboration with Rigshospitalet, the project aims to develop advanced AI solutions for cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome prediction.

The scholarship is open to highly motivated candidates from all nationalities with a strong background in computer science, mathematics, biomedical engineering, or related fields. Applicants must hold a relevant Master’s degree for the regular 3-year PhD program or a Bachelor’s degree for the integrated MSc and PhD track. A solid foundation in machine learning, software development, and data analysis is essential.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in fields related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or other relevant areas.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Hold a relevant Master’s degree for the 3-year PhD track or a Bachelor’s degree for the integrated MSc + PhD program.

    • Have demonstrated experience or strong interest in machine learning, software development, and/or medical imaging.

    • Show curiosity, independence, and motivation to work in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment.

    • Possess good language and communication skills.

    • Be willing to spend up to three months at a collaborating international research institution.
