Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • A master’s degree in molecular biomedicine, biology, biomedicine, medicine, human biology, neuroscience or equivalent
  • Experience with analysis of mouse behaviour
  • Experience with stereotactic surgery
  • Experience with immunocytochemistry and/or immunohistochemistry
  • Experience with mRNA isolation and qPCR analysis
  • Experience with tissue/brain clearing (iDISCO)
  • Experience with Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Other relevant work experience.

Offered Benefits

The University of Copenhagen will provide the monthly salary starts at approximately 28,900 DKK/Roughly 3,800 EUR (October 2023 level) plus pension.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the award, applicants must have an offer of admission into a full-time PhD degree at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Application must be submitted electronically through the university’s online application portal.

  • Motivated letter of application (max. one page)
  • CV including education, experience, language skills, and other skills relevant to the position
  • Master of Science diploma and transcript of records. If not completed, a certified/signed copy of a recent transcript of records or a written statement from the institution or supervisor will suffice.
  • Publication list (if possible)
  • Admission Requirements: Before applying for admission, applicants must meet all the entry requirements of the university.
  • Language Requirement: Excellent communication skills in English is considered essential and applicants should speak and write academic English fluently. The PhD Administration may ask applicants to document their proficiency in English at any time during the recruitment process if this is considered necessary.
