  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • The recipient must have received the doctorate within seven years of the award, and currently teach at a US or Canadian university.
  • The recipient must have received the degree at a US or Canadian university.
  • The book being considered must have been published within seven years of the award. The book must have been written in or translated into English.
  • The book must represent an outstanding contribution to scholarship in the field.

Offered Benefits

The Scholarship provides an award amount of $1,000, a certificate and reasonable travel expenses to attend the CGS annual meeting in December.

  • How to Apply: Interested candidates must complete the online application form for achieving funding program.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must provide the following supporting documents:
  • Proof of enrollment in a graduate (Master’s) or post-graduate (Doctor of Philosophy) program
  • Completed LMS Form
  • Three references from individuals familiar with the applicant’s graduate work, with at least one reference letter from the major supervisor
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must fulfill the following admission requirements of the university,
  • Working on a project that advances science-informed decisions/decision-making in the public interest with regards to natural resources.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must fulfill the language requirements:
  • Applicants must be fluent in English language (Verbal as well as written).
