University of Bristol Fully-funded and Partially-funded PhD Scholarships in UK, 2017-2018 Established in 1909, University of Bristol is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Bristol (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), South West England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Bristol (UoB) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Bristol (UoB) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 110 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarships are available to students who meet the requirements for entry to their chosen programme and who have been made an unconditional offer. For international and EU students, this includes the provision of documentation which demonstrates that you have met our English Language Policy entry requirement. Offered Benefits

Awards are made as either a full scholarship (fees plus a maintenance grant) or a partial scholarship (fees plus part of the maintenance grant) but the minimum amount awarded is normally no less than 50 per cent of the overall cost (fees plus maintenance grant). Where a maintenance grant is provided, the value of this normally matches the amount recommended by Research Councils UK (RCUK) but may vary depending on the funds available.
