The applicants must be enrolled in or have graduated from a higher education institution in Ukraine to be considered. Seven students can expect to receive an award of EUR 1,000 each.

University of Augsburg Scholarships for Ukraine Students, Germany for PhD Established in 1970, Universität Augsburg (University of Augsburg) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Augsburg (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Bavaria. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst (Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art), Universität Augsburg is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Universität Augsburg offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 49 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries:  Students from Ukraine can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  The students can apply for a higher degree programme taught at the University of Augsburg. 
  • Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be enrolled at a higher education institution in Ukraine and at the University of Augsburg.
  • The applicants may also have obtained their degree from an institution in Ukraine. 

Offered Benefits

The scholarship winners will be awarded a sum of EUR 1,100 per month for up to 7 months of study by the University of Augsburg. 

Application Process

  • How to Apply:  Students can submit their admission application on  Studentenkanzlei’s application portal . Scholarship application documents can be requested at  . 
  • Supporting Documents:  The students are required to present the following documents to the university:

  • Copy of passport
  • CV (curriculum vitae) (1-2 pages)
  • Motivational essay
  • Transcript of Records from your home university
  • Proof of German language skills (if applicable)
  • Proof of English language skills (if applicable)
  • Admission Requirements:  The students must meet the entry and academic requirements of the degree programme they wish to join at the University of Augsburg. 
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English and German language proficiency tests:
