The University of Adelaide is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow Position focused on modelling and analysis of complex social networks. To be eligible, applicants must hold a PhD in applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or a related field. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are open to Australian Citizens, New Zealand Citizens, or Australian Permanent Residents only.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded in research related to applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or related fields within the University of Adelaide.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Hold a PhD in applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or a related area.

  • Demonstrate a strong academic record, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

  • Show proven ability to conduct independent research in areas such as complex networks, dynamical systems, agent-based modelling, or social network analysis.

  • Possess excellent communication skills to present research to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Be eligible for a National Police Check and preferably able to obtain Australian Security Clearance.

  • (Desirable) Interest or experience in Defence and Intelligence applications, or interdisciplinary work involving sociology, psychology, or behavioural sciences.

  • Salary Range: Level A – $81,293 to $109,307 per annum; Level B – $114,917 to $135,932 per annum
