The University of Southern Queensland, in partnership with the UniSQ Rugby Club, invites applications for the Rugby Excellence Scholarship. Two scholarships (one male, one female) valued at up to $6000 each will support undergraduate students who excel in both rugby and academics.

To be eligible, applicants must be domestic students residing in Australia, registered or accepted into the UniSQ Rugby Club, and commencing or continuing full-time undergraduate studies at UniSQ Toowoomba in Trimester 1, 2026.

UniSQ Rugby Excellence Scholarship in Australia for Bachelor Founded in 1967, University of Southern Queensland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the large town of Toowoomba (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Queensland. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Hervey Bay, Springfield Lakes, Brisbane. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Southern Queensland (USQ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Australia (domestic students only)

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for study in any undergraduate program offered by UniSQ.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.

    • Be registered or in the process of registering, and accepted into the UniSQ Rugby Club by the application closing date.

    • Be commencing or continuing full-time undergraduate studies at UniSQ in Trimester 1, 2026.

    • For continuing students, maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 as at the release of Trimester 3, 2025 results.

    • Be enrolled or intending to enrol on-campus at UniSQ Toowoomba, and/or be a resident of the Toowoomba Local Government Area.

    • Provide required documentation supporting academic achievement, rugby involvement, and residency status.
